我怎样待撒玛利亚，和其中的偶像，岂不照样待耶路撒冷，和其中的偶像吗。
Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
因为他说，我所成就的事，是靠我手的能力，和我的智慧。我本有聪明。我挪移列国的地界，抢夺他们所积蓄的财宝，并且我像勇士，使坐宝座的降为卑。
For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
我的手构到列国的财宝，好像人构道鸟窝。我也得了全地，好像人拾起所弃的雀蛋。没有动翅膀的，没有张嘴的，也没有呜叫的。
And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
斧，岂可向用釜砍木的自夸呢。锯，岂可向用锯的自大呢。好比棍抡起那举棍的，好比杖举起那非木的人。
Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
因此，主万军之耶和华，必使亚述王的肥壮人变为瘦弱。在他的荣华之下，必有火着起，如同焚烧一样。
Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.
以色列的光必如火，他的圣者必如火焰。在一日之间，将亚述王的荆棘，和蒺藜，焚烧净尽。
And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;
又将他树木，和肥田的荣耀，全然烧尽。好像拿军旗的昏过去一样。
And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth.
到那日，以色列所剩下的，和雅各家所逃脱的，不再倚靠那击打他们的，却要诚实倚靠耶和华以色列的圣者。所剩下的，就是雅各家所剩下的，必归向全能的神。
The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
以色列阿，你的百姓，虽多如海沙，惟有剩下的归回。原来灭绝的事已定，必有公义施行，如水涨溢。
For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
因为还有一点点时候，向你们发的忿恨就要完毕，我的怒气要向他发作，使他灭亡。
For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
